Peach Tea Lemonade

There is nothing more refreshing than that cold drink in your hand on a hot summer’s day. Some days you want a nice cold ice tea and other days a glass of lemonade just hits the spot. Now you can have the best of both worlds with a touch of peach flavor.

This came about after having some leftover peaches from my peach cobbler that I had made. Which is amazing, a must try. My oldest kept begging me to make peach tea lemonade. I have made tea lemonade before so I didn’t think adding peaches was such a big deal. Well, I was wrong. You just can’t throw the peaches in the mix and get the flavor. Doing that will just give you floating peaches in the tea lemonade. Now quite what I was trying to accomplish.

The trick is to make a simple syrup with peaches and water. Bringing the water to a boil helps release the sugar and flavor from the peaches, so no added sugar is needed to make this great summer time treat. Make sure to invite a few friends over and enjoy before the summer nights fades into the cool autumn nights.

Servings: 6 servings
  • 2 tea bags
  • 2 scoops of lemonade mix
  • 2 peaches
  • 5 cups water divided
  1. In a medium size pot add two cups of water, sliced peaches and two tea bags. Bring water to a boil. Let water boil for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. In a pitcher mix remaining water with lemonade. Stir until all of the powder has dissolved.
  3. Strain out the peach pulp from the tea mixture. Add to lemonade. Stir until well combined. Add in ice cubes.

TIP: The long the peaches sit, the stronger the peach flavor.
